In their lives, they had a fair amount of what Albert refers as "complications" and what Jet very bluntly calls "a shitfest". So after months of battling robot tanks, bullets, overly dressed assassins, it seemed rather ironical that the most upset Jet got was over the fact that the cafe they decided to stop at only had one sundae.

Which was sitting neatly in front of Albert who was eyeing him with faint amusement.

"Gimme," and he flinched at the sound of his voice because Jet Link does not fucking whine.

"No," Albert said calmly, "You can't get your way in everything."

"Who says that?! You never let me have my way!"

Albert eyebrow-ed at him and Jet sank lower in his seat. That was the wrong thing to say and he knew it. Fucking bastard.

"We'll share," Albert said patiently, "You do know how to do that, right?"

"Fine," Jet sulked, not rising to the bait for once. Albert smirked and carefully dug his spoon into the ice-cream.

"Woah, you jerk! Who said you could have the first bite?"

"What part of sharing do you need me to explain again?"

"Fuck you, you're just hogging it because it's in front of you and I'm all the way here!"

"So move closer."

"I'm not getting that close with you!!"

"..."

A beat. Jet could hear the faint hum of vehicles outside the shop, while Albert seemed to be sizing him up. He crossed his arms and uncrossed them again, betraying his uneasiness.

Albert sighed, "Here. You can have it."

"... You're kidding."

"Go ahead," and carefully, he pushed the glass towards him.

"Just like that?"

"Just like that," and with that said and done, he relaxed on his hand, his wry grin in place. Jet hesitantly took his spoon and dug into the sundae.

Albert's smile simply widened.
